RE-reading Elric of Melnibone - only finished it last week, but I need a more leisurely romp through it.

Just finished Robin Hobb's Dragon Haven (not to be confused with Robin McKinley's Dragonhaven!). It's the second and final part of The Rain Wild Chronicles.

Aha! I have just ordered that on Amazon and I'm waiting by the letterbox! I ordered it as soon as I finished the first one. She's managed to recreate the flavour of her previous dragon books so well. I'm currently reading another book with dragons in it, and it just doesn't come alive in the same way somehow. DON'T tell me what happens!

Of course not! Now reading more Hobb, just finished the Farseer trilogy again, and started on Liveship Traders.

I just finished Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. It was the first book he published, but I read it last as I've read everything else he's written. It is by far one of my most favorite books of all time. His heroine, Sarene, is a most uncommon heroine. She's TALL, she's mouthy, and I identify with her so much I'd swear he patterned her after me but he didn't know me then!

Now I am embarking on a huge undertaking, I am going to read Janny Wurts' fantasy series that starts with Curse of the Mistwraith. She's up to 7 or 8 books and has a new episode coming out in October or November. Should keep me busy for a while!

Unseen Academicals by Pratchett. Hilarious as usual, and particularly during the World Cup.

Decided to re-visit old favorites..... Am going back to the beginning for me, Starting with Ursela LeGuinn ---- first Fantasy Writer I found among the Sci-Fi section in the Library. It opened a whole new world for me and Fantasy is the main category of books I read. Only varying when a book is suggested by family/friends.

I remember starting to read Ursula K LeGuin's fantasy when I found it... dunno, maybe 40 years ago. Brilliant stuff. I was particularly tickled when, much later, she wrote the "final" book in the dragon series & kinda tied up all the loose ends with science fiction. I thought that was very cleverly done & didn't detract from the earlier books. I may have to go back & re-read some of them now :)
